Folksam buys one of the world’s most ecosmart buildings

Kungsbrohuset was completed in 2010. Thanks to innovative technical solutions the building is able to meet the very strictest requirements regarding flexibility, comfort and energy use. The building’s low energy consumption qualifies it for three ecolabels, and it has attracted international attention as one of the most environmentally smart buildings in the world.

Kungsbrohuset has just over 26,000 sq.m of floor space and is one of the profile buildings in the district known as Västra City surrounding Stockholm Central Station. Its location means that there is a low risk of vacant space, and at present it is fully let.

 – We are committed to what the customers are concerned about and we are therefore building long-term value by investing in one of the most modern buildings in Sweden, in terms of both environmental profile and technical solutions,” says Catrina Ingelstam, CFO Folksam.

– We take a very positive view of the development of Västra City, and Kungsbrohuset is an exceptionally efficient building with a good location and a clear environmental profile that ensures a good long-term investment for savers in KPA Pension and Folksam Life.
