Folksam recruits Group Chief Press Officer

Annika Kristersson has been appointed Group Chief Press Officer for Folksam and its subsidiaries. She was most recently employed in the same post at Tele2 Sverige and will be taking up the newly created post at Folksam on 1 September.

“I’m very happy to have recruited such a well-qualified person as Annika to lead and develop our work on PR and media relations in traditional and social media,” says Erik von Hofsten, Vice President and Head of Group Corporate Communications at Folksam.

Annika has precisely the background that we’ve been looking for, and her experience will enable her to take Folksam’s communications to the next level.”

Annika Kristersson is 37 years old and has over ten years’ experience of media and PR work. Prior to working at Tele2, she was a communications consultant at Hill & Knowlton.

The post of Group Chief Press Officer falls under Folksam’s Corporate Communications Department.

When Annika Kristersson takes up her post, Patric Elmén – who has been acting Chief Press Officer for Folksam and Folksam LO Pension – will return to his consultancy activities. Birgitta Hammarström – who has been Chief Press Officer for KPA Pension and Förenade Liv – will take on a new role as communications strategist within Folksam’s Corporate Communications Department.
